My wife recently purchased a Vtuvia ( Giraffe model ), electric bike from Motion Madness. We dealt exclusively with owner Mike.
My wife couldn't be happier with her bike, and the service she received from Mike. Mike assembled the bike and then went somewhat out of his way to personally deliver the bike to us in Santa Maria. When my wife had some initial issues with the display; ( hard to see in bright sunlight ), Mike offered to switch it out with an alternate display. This one is much more visible in harsh light conditions.
As far as the bike is concerned, this model might be described as a commuter/city bike with thinner tires designed mostly for riding on pavement. We have a 10 mile ride we take that is all on pavement, and the bike performed very well. There are a number of hills to negotiate, and the pedal assist worked great in helping to handle these. As this is my wife's first electric bike, like everyone, it took her a few rides to get used the pedal assist, and throttle functions, but, now she is very happy with her new ride.
We both have no hesitation in recommending Motion Madness as a great place to make an electric bike purchase, and we know you will get great service from Mike and his team

E Bikes present different problems for travelers. We are on an eight week trip week 1 when our new Thule EStep bike rack failed and my Rad E bike fell and was dragging on the pavement destroying the right handlebar grip and partially filing the brake lever down. I found Motion Madness in Fresno on line and thank god i did. They had a heavy duty E Bike rack to replace the Thule & they were able to customize a repair for my destroyed grip on the Rad. Ron and his crew were so polite and helpful. Just couldn’t of wished for a better experience. I also noticed their great selection of Ebikes, and priced very reasonably. If I were a Fresno resident or close by I would definitely visit their showroom if I was shopping for an E bike//their service and support was wonderful. They also mounted my new rack on my Ram & showed me how to set it up. I stumbled across the Motion Madness Pismo Beach location when I was shopping for a new e-bike. I decided to call and see if I could make an appointment. Mike picked up and was able to meet me within 30 minutes! Not only does he operate the business out of a tidy showroom but he has amazing ocean views; it's located halfway up a huge hill, which is a great place to test out the power of the bike. I'm 5' 11" and 250lbs, I NEED a bike with plenty of power.
He had a wide range of e-bikes to show me and was so knowledgeable about all their different features. He answered my questions and encouraged me to try them out- I must have tried 7 different bikes! I ended up buying the Himiway Step-Thru Cruiser (17.5Ah Battery, 750 Watt motor).
I use this bike to commute to work (35 miles roundtrip) and I don't even have to charge it when I get home. The battery range is amazing! If you're on the fence about buying an e-bike... dooooo it!!! And buy it from Mike, he's great!

Update: 4 months later and the quality of their build has shown. I had a nail in my tire; and because of their recommended additives and tire liner, my tire did no go flat and likely saved me from being stranded.

First of all the new Rattan ebikes I bought from Mike (M&M) have made biking so much fun again. Mike did an excellent job assembling
the bikes and have not had any problems. I've had the bikes for about 6 months now and the only problems were riding over Goat-head thorns and getting flats. So I put latex in the tubes and now the flats auto seal. Mike did a great job explaining how to fold, charge and adjust the bike to my preferences. I would definitely buy another bike from him when the time comes

I had an issue with my e-scooter trike that nobody in town was willing to try to fix, but these guys at motion madness asked to keep the trike for a day and would see what they could come up with. Within 2 days I got my scooter back and repaired for a reasonable price. These guys are awesome! They even tighten and fixed my handbrake! They're very professional and go above and beyond in all they do. And if I ever need to upgrade my batteries or have a bike that I want converted to an e-bike etc. I will definitely go to them. Customer service is the key in any business. That’s truly the mantra for M&M Specialties! We really wanted to experience the e-bike movement. Partially because they looked cool, partially because we really wanted something that would work with our travel lifestyle. We have been taking our standard large bikes on trips with us in our travel trailer. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it’s very cumbersome just to try to fit them in the trailer. The cool thing about some of Mike’s E bikes - they fold! We really fell in love with this concept, and we thought that we would really love using an E bike.When talking with Mike, he really explained to us the differences between the bikes, the differences in quality, and what would be the best for our buck. Never once did Mike try to push a more expensive bike in order to make a bigger sale. He really listened to what our needs were, and really made a great assessment of what we were really looking to do with a new E bike. Truly the best customer service, he was so willing to go above and beyond to help with accessories and put them on the bike along with making sure that after sale support was truly there. In fact, when we were at his shop, he took a call to another customer and treated them the exact same way! He obviously prides himself on customer service and making sure that the sale is the right sale! He understands that business is a relationship and the ability to generate business by word-of-mouth and people being happy. Motion Madness helped me repair and got my converted Montague Mountain e-bike running again after being in storage since 2012. They also converted my Giordano road bike to a 350v 500 watt system with LED computer display and now that baby screams down the road. So I bought my son an electric bike for transportation around Fresno. I bought it online and on my son’s first ride, the pedal stripped out. I live all the way in Maine. I found Motion Madness as the closest bike shop to my son. I’m 3 hours ahead from California and I sent a message to Mike the owner, expecting to hear back later that day. Mike called me before they even opened. Probably about 8 am. I explained everything to him. Sent him a link to the bike. Mike ordered the parts ASAP and he suggested several great add-ons to keep my son safe on the road. Mike also gave me Ron’s number at the shop. Mike sent me an invoice and Ron took the bike in that day. Ron and his mechanic are amazing. They had my son back on his bike the next day. Mike overnighted the main part so my son could have his transportation back and be mobile again. I sincerely can’t thank everyone at Motion Madness enough. You now have a customer for life. It’s a rarity to find such amazing customer service and knowledgeable. Thank you thank you! And paying was a breeze.
